If you are thinking about joining a programme like Your Net Biz or are just beginning, I have put together some pointers for you to help out. Find yourself a mentor or coach that is genuine and you feel you can work with. This is crucial to you succeeding in your new business and will give you a great start. They will be able to provide you with firsthand knowledge and advice, they will also walk you through the whole process. One thing to watch out for is how they react when you phone or email them. Do they get back to you if you leave a message? When you speak are you comfortable in conversation or do you get the impression that the person cannot be bothered? All these factors add up when finding a suitable coach to work with so be careful. Dont become an orphan, by this I mean when you have paid for your business, the person you decided to work with goes cold on you. From then on you are left to get on with it and struggle alone. Before parting with your cash, phone, email or contact your future sponsor to see if he/she is a person you can connect with.
Get out there and get noticed by branding yourself. People want to see a real person, not just some text or a company capture page. Potential buyers want to identify with you, so tell your story. Get out there as much as you can. Make some videos and upload them everywhere to get your own face known.
Get noticed online! Build up a strong presence and you will see results. Start your own blog and write articles. Do this regularly and you will soon create a figure of authority, so people will recognise that you are an expert in your field or niche. People will be able to connect your name to something like Your Net Biz or whatever company you join creating credibility for you. Also join the many social networking sites to find more like minded people.
Invest in yourself. Buy books and make sure that you read them. Buy recommended programs that your mentor/coach endorses so you can enhance your online business. You can never stop learning enough, neither are you too old to feed your brain.
Work out a budget and never go over it. Spend what is affordable and know your limits. Some people give up too quickly because of this as they run out of money and lose faith. Find out what works and what does not, your mentor will be able to help you with this.
Make a daily plan and stick to it. Get a notepad, write it down and do it until it is engraved into your routine. It will get easier as it goes on and the more confident you will become.
