Nearly every student or employee, at some point in their lives, has to create a presentation for either a teacher or an employer. If you do not know how to create a good presentation then it can be extremely challenging. A presentation normally involves having a product from a client or employer or some kind of idea given to you by a teacher or professor and you have to explain what it is or how it can be sold. In order to make a perfect presentation you must do research on your product or idea so you are knowledgeable on the topic and so you can answer questions. Also, you have to have good charisma which means speaking clearly and at a good volume. Finally, when creating the perfect presentation, the person doing the presenting must have a well executed visual aid for the teacher or client. In order to create a good visual aid, youshould probably plan to purchase foam board and art supplies to make your board look nice and colorful. Or instead, you might want to use a computerized slide show to create a more interactive presentation. If you put forth the effort in your presentation, you will most likely get positive results.
The first step to creating an amazing presentation is to start by doing some research about whatever it is you are presenting. For example, if you are trying to explain to your teacher and fellow classmates about the positives of studying abroad, then you would want to have knowledge studying abroad. You will also want to be prepared to answer questions from classmates or your teacher about the bad parts of studying abroad and be able to turn those negatives into positives by stating good facts about studying abroad. If you have no knowledge of studying abroad, it will be very obvious and the presentation will not be as good.
After you have done most of your research for your presentation, you will want to start working on your presenting behaviors. When giving a presentation you want to know for sure that everyone can hear you loudly and clearly. If you have excellent, well researched facts and a lovely visual aid, but no one can hear or understand you, then those two positives will make no difference. You can practice your speaking by doing a practice presentation in front of coworkers, friends, or family members and ask for their opinions of your speaking voice. This creating the perfect presentation is probably the least practiced, even though it is one of the most important aspects of a presentation.
Finally, while you are working on your research and charisma, you should consider having some kind of visual aid for your presentation. It is important to remember that different people learn differently, so some people who are there for your presentation may understand better if they can actually see it. Also, a well thought out visual aid can only enhance your presentation. A visual aid can be anything from a poster with different kinds of charts on it to a Powerpoint presentation complete with sounds and which includes audience interaction. These visual aids are an important part of a presentation because they really help pull everything together.
It is important to know how to create a good presentation because you will most likely have to do at least one at some point in your life. Someone who has a good presentation is a person who does a lot of well thought out research about what they are presenting, someone who can speak loudly and clearly, and someone who has a good visual aid. Being a good presenter is a good skill to have that will take you far in life whether it isfor school or for the work place.
