Not everything on earth is bad for you, but you should know that too much of anything can be dangerous to you! Stress can be a good thing so long as it’s served in the right amounts, and it might even help you out a little. Too much stress however can really hinder your ability to perform. For this reason you are going to need to learn to manage your stress so that you can steer clear of depression as well as any sort of anxiety.
However knowing this you need to think of a way to get rid of all that stress. Following are a list of things that youw ill be able to do to get rid of the stress and lead a normal happy life.
Schedule it out.
It is best to write down everything that seems to be overwhelming. You will find a things-to-do-list much easier to manage than having errands all crumpled up in your head. Writing down the tasks, and putting a specific schedule and time to do them, helps anyone manage activities one chunk at a time. Crossing out an activity that has already been accomplished is very rewarding and could actually help you feel more relaxed when doing the other tasks at hand.
Baby Steps
Ensure you’re concentrating on one thing and one thing only. If you try to focus on many different things you might find that you start to panic. Take your tasks one step at a time and make sure that you can complete them before you start on with the next. Never try to rush!
Slow down!
At least, try not to expend too much energy on activities that are currently not priorities. This is in order for your energy to be not easily expended on the tasks that are not that important, at least for now.
Delegate, delegate, delegate.
You have a lot of tasks before you, but it’s important to know that you don’t have to do it all at the same time, and you certainly don’t need to do it alone! Make sure you get some assistance, and even pay someone for the help if you really need to. If you feel that it is too much for you to handle then hire the neighbor kid to mow your lawn or even have someone else babysit your children. If you feel that you are being pushed to complete something, then the delegation of those tasks will definitely help to alleviate that. Taking the load off of your shoulders is an important part of ensuring your sanity on a day to day basis.
Reward Yourself
When you complete something you need to make sure that you receive some reward, even if it’s just from yourself. It doesn’t matter what you reward yourself with as long as you enjoy it. In doing this you will find that you have a reduced level of stress which will help quite a bit in the long run.
Personal Time
If you’re going to be productive then you’re going to need to take a break. A fifteen minute break will definitely help you out in the long run. Go for a walk or even play a game. Just make sure that you find a way to relax, and by doing so you will improve quite a bit. Sometimes it’s a good idea to meditate and even try to imagine some sort of peaceful landscape.
Try to be cool. Make sure that you are relaxed and that you don’t stress over the small things. You will find that doing this will render you much happier and you’ll get a lot more done!
