Networks such as www.clickbank.com keep out bad vendors and help by processing the payments so you get your percentage of each sale.

But I also encourage you to find companies that have their own affiliate programs. You’ll have a lot less competition when you sell products this way. If a company looks promising make sure to examine their affiliate agreement to avoid scams.

You’ll want a payment schedule and threshold that is fair and that you can live with. It’s also great if you can have hands-on help and support as you are picking affiliates to partner with.

Newbies often run out of ideas on how to promote products if they don’t have a big emailing list. Before this can be attained it is a good idea to make review sites.

When I started out I started by making a review site. It was a good way to learn the basics.

A review site consists of a single page where you make a review of the product. Needless to say, its best to purchase the product so you can make a good original review.

Rewriting a review already written by someone else is possible but not the best way to go. Do some keyword research and write your own review containing good long keywords.

If you’d like, you can include more than one review on the page. For example, I like to have a review of my #1 favorite product in that category and then include 2-4 runner ups and include reviews for those as well.

If you are ambitious you can make 10 of these sites per month. You can do this in 40 hours. After creating one site you have the template and it gets faster each time.

Then I spent about 10 hours per month marketing the older sites in the forums and other social media plus creating ad campaigns.

My expenses were $10/month for hosting for all of the sites and $8 or so for each individual domain. My marketing expenses, including purchase of the products I reviewed and ad campaigns, were $700-1000 per month.

I made around 4000 dollars of profit per month. Not too many jobs pay that much!
