Is limited traffic a problem faced by your website?
I know how you feel. Trying to make money on the online can be really tough. I posted a new site when I first started only to sit there wait for months for my first sale.
Have you tried to sell through selling through emails?
I did. It was almost at the beginning of my efforts at web marketing that I first read about email marketing. Only problem was that I learned you need a huge list. That I did not have.
Michael Jordan is certainly one of if not the greatest basketball players of all time, but I remember his saying, “I have missed far more shots than I ever made.” Maybe we just need a little tweaking.
Recently, I discovered a tiny bit of information that has made a big difference in my selling through emails.
Yes, all the gurus will tell you that email promotion is the solution, but then they tell you about the “can spam” issue. Basically, unless you have your own acquired list developed painstakingly over months and months of giveaways, don’t do it.
None of us want to receive spam or emails that we just do not want. I have a whole bunch of emails that automatically go to my junk mail file every day.
Now, the problem becomes clear. Our email promotion would work, if we could send emails to enough people. But we cannot.
Maybe, if we could send our email out through someone else, and use their perfectly legal opt-in email list; would that work?
One day I saw this ad from an online marketing service company. They offered to send out my email ad to their huge list of opt-in consumers. In just a few minutes, my ad was delivered to millions.
You have many options, but this is what I do. I set up an opt-in page of my own and in bulk email ad place a link to the opt-in page. Within a very short time, my opt-in list begins to build. These are now my customers. They are on my email list. They expect information from me. Now I can begin marketing to them directly.
Now there is hope. My enlarged email list gives me the opportunity to really expand my selling through emails efforts. Now I can expect a return on my investment.
When it comes to my emails, I try to make each one count. I avoid sending too many too soon. I want to deliver about one every four to five days. Words like free are left out. They are usually short and practical.
I try to always offer good content, positive encouragement, and opportunities. Every email I send has some kind of call to action. It may be an invitation to read an article on my website, or an offer to purchase something. But I believe my readers read with purpose and I want to satisfy their wants and needs.
