You may have seen the ads for Survey Scout, a website that promises to show you how to make anywhere from $5 to $75 for sharing your opinions. It sounds great, but could this really be just a scam? If you are curious about this opportunity as I was, here is the real scoop.
So, what exactly is Survey Scout? Simply put, it is a comprehensive and well researched directory of legitimate paid survey opportunities. Survey Scout themselves don’t administer any paid opinion polls, but rather they make it easy to find all of the paid survey opportunities you could ever want. At the time of this review, there were over 400 companies in the database for you to register with.
If paid surveys are new to you, here is what it’s all about. Research plays a big role in marketing and product development for large companies. Everyday Goliaths of business such as Nike, Home Depot, Coca Cola and others all rely on market research to guide important business decisions. The problem is that it is hard to find consumers to give quality detailed feedback to these companies. The result is that they contract with market research firms who then organize paid opinion polls to gather this important feedback. To make sure that the people taking the surveys take them seriously, these companies pay you for your time. These are known as paid surveys and they have been quietly used by businesses for many years all across the globe.
So, back to the burning question at hand – is Survey Scout a scam? After thoroughly reviewing the site and having had success with paid surveys before, I can say that Survey Scout is definitely not a scam. The database provided cuts down significantly on the time it takes to find and join companies that provide real opportunities for earning cash for sharing your opinion. In a world where time is money, this is actually a major bargain.
On the other hand, surveys can be difficult to make any serious money with because you would need to take a lot of paid surveys to make decent cash. Its for this reason that survey directories like Survey Scout can be beneficial because they help you access a large number of companies looking for participants for paid surveys.
Another cool thing about Survey Scout is that they have listings for other unusual spare time money makers. Things like secret shopping, paid to drive, paid email and even paid to search are represented in their database. Additionally, they have a section for companies that hire home based workers if you are looking for more than supplementary income from home. Other survey sites don’t always list these types of opportunities for their members, so I consider this a big benefit of choosing survey Scout.
All in all, the opportunity that Survey Scout presents is legitimate and dare I even say fun! Now, you can’t expect to get rich taking paid surveys – thats not realistic of the potential. You can however earn extra cash which is always a good thing to have. Best of all, paid surveys are extremely flexible so you can do all of this in your spare time as much or as little as you choose. While you could find paid surveys on your own, it makes much more sense to tap in to research thats already been done and spend your time on the actual surveys instead.

Excellent info from Sylvia. thanks. I fully appreciate what is said here about paid surveys. They are legitimate, and can well generate some extra income. For somebody who has time, why not. I would personally look into a few more opportunities – not only Survey Scout. – and especially into those who can promise real residual income. That’s why I am fan of network marketing and home based businesses.
