You’ve taken the first steps in promoting your site online. You have your content, your service and payment methods in place. To get people to actually visit your site, they need to know it is actually there. If you want to attract targeted leads to your site as quickly as possible, Google Adwords could be the solution.

There are numerous other ways of advertising online or getting your name out there. All of them will cost. Yes, thats right, all of them will cost.

This will either involve a cost financially, or a cost to your personal time.

When starting your marketing on a budget, there are many alternatives using free advertising. These can include social network marketing, free classifieds and article marketing.

The quickest way to advertise and get your name out on to the internet is to pay for it with cash and the most effective way of doing this is with paid advertising using internet search engines.

Getting trafic to your website that is targeted can be done almost immediately. Google Adwords will display your ads as soon as you have decided on your keywords and submitted your ad.

By placing your ad infront of people who are specifically looking for what you have to offer means that your visitors will be targeted. You choose the subjects where you ad will appear to make sure they only appear to someone already looking for what you are offering.

After all, you only want to focus your resources at targeting people who are actively searching for what it is you have to offer.

Remember that you should not jump in blindfold when starting to use Google Adwords. You do need to know what you are doing for this marketing method to be cost effective.

If you dont know what youre doing with Google Adwords then my advice would be to learn from someone who does before you go wasting your initial budget. Two ways of doing this would be to purchase a guide to using Google Adwords (there are a number of experts out there) or to learn from a personal coach or mentor.

To summarise, Google Adwords can get you targeted traffic very quickly, but could also cost you dearly if you haven’t done your research.
