AARP research shows that meny people over 50, 60 or even 70 start their own businesses to find a more productive and rewarding life and livelihood. Some people may think that your retirement should be spent gardening, traveling, playing gold and sitting in the rocking chair…but many want something more.
First start your new business part-time after dreaming about it for awhile. Then you can increase your income while you are still working until you have the income to retire.
When considering what this business should be there are many things to think about. I strongly believe that an online business is by far the best for those of us who are retiring. The advantages are many over any franchise, brick and mortar store front or even a business that you operate out of your home workshop or office. In any of these cases the costs are much more…especially for a franchise or storefront. You have to worry about all of the upkeep and probably hire employees. An online business can be done from any place in the world, all you need is a computer, an internet connection, and a phone. And the start up costs for an Internet business are considerably less than any franchise or brick and mortar business.
When searching for an online business, there are lots of things to consider.
The first thing is to find a business that is working, so you don’t have to start from scratch. You can find out what is working for others. If is a legitmate business you can get in at any time and it will allow you to make money from home online.
Then you need to find a real business that has a real product. There are many scams, games and programs out there that just don’t work and are gone before you know it. If it is a quality business then it will have a real product of great value…that people will buy even without the opportunity. And look for what interests you, something that you like and enjoy selling. We love to travel, so that is why my Internet business provides great value and discounts for travel. That way we can both save money and make money! Be sure to do Due Diligence to learn all about the business before you start.
Be sure your business can produce good money…it’s not much good to go to all that work for just a little money.
Look for a Team and Mentor to give you training, help you get started on working your business, and help you avoid mistakes as well. They will guide and teach you as well as provide ongoing training.
Find a way to leverage your time and money. Work with a team where you are all working towards the same goal - making money from home (or any where) on the Internet.
Then GO FOR IT!
