There are tons of offers that suggest you can become fabulously wealthy by spending a few minutes a day online. While this sounds appealing, it’s also not true. Without either some hard work or some great luck you won’t become instantly rich by working online. However, there are several ways to pull in extra income each month.

The first method of making money online we’re going to look at is surveys. Companies do a great deal of research trying to figure out what people will be willing to buy, and therefore will pay a small amount for you to help them gather that information. The price per survey is relatively small, so you will have to sign up with quite a few sites in order to make any kind of substantial money. You should also check to make sure the site you are signing up with pays regularly rather than enrolling those who fill out surveys in a drawing.

Not all sites that claim to have surveys actually do, but are actually IFWs. Some will call themselves surveys but will actually be asking for you to try trial offers instead. This is another method of making money, but is not the same as surveys and will generally require a credit card.

IFWs, or incentivized freebie websites, will give you money or items in exchange for doing trial offers from their sponsors. You will usually have to pay for these offers, although usually no more than shipping and handling. In exchange you get items such as an xbox or ipod, or even straight cash, that is worth considerably more than the money you put in. Since some of these sites require referral offers as well, there are people who will pay you money to complete a single offer for them.

Project Payday is a good program to start with if you’re interested in IFWs. In exchange for completing one of their trial offers, several of which are free, you get a detailed tutorial and access to the forums where people are paying for you to fill out these offers. The fast tutorial actually walks you through the process and earns you your first $50. You can also use this route to begin with surveys, since a partner of Project Payday offers free subscription to a large paid survey directory that will save you time on searching for reputable survey companies through the search engines.

I have personally used Project Payday and have always found they respond quickly to questions, usually within the same day. The average top earnings once you get the ball rolling is about $3000 per month if your filling out offers and $5000 a month if your paying others to do the offers for you.

There are some sites that offer a combination of ways to earn money. Sites such as Inbox Dollars and Cash Crate will give money for surveys, games, looking at e-mails from advertisers, and trial offers. I have personally used Cash Crate and found that with some work you can make about $300 a month. Lower income than from IFWs, but also less work and you don’t have to give out your credit card information.

The key to making money combination sites is to download the free program RoboForm. This will allow you to automatically fill out surveys and cut the time it takes to do a single survey from minutes to seconds. I personally use Cash Crate and fill out only the free offers on the site, but there are paid offers that will give you more money. There’s no get rich quick scheme here, but with some effort you can get some extra income. In addition, if you’ll try more than one system, these small streams can add up.
