If you don’t know exactly what Squidoo is or does, however, you could be missing out on one of the Internet’s greatest online advertising and marketing methods.

If you have a website or blog, and want to get free traffic to it, using Squidoo is one of the quickest and easiest ways. Not only is it free and easy, it is also fun. Squidoo is so easy, that you can have it up and running, promoting whatever it is you want in 15 minutes. You don’t even need any web or picture hosting service. Squidoo does it all for you. An affiliate marketer can use Squidoo to market the product they are trying to promote. One way to look at Squidoo is kind of like a blog, my space account, and a mini-site.

In Squidoo, you create what is called a lens. These are the Squidoo sites that you may have run across while searching on the Internet. These lenses are a Squidoo site used to promote a product or information. Within this lens, there are modules. Modules are basically like a post to a blog.

There are so many different types of modules to use, such as the EBay module for those who sell on EBay. There are also YouTube modules where can put a YouTube video within the module. In Squidoo modules, you can write articles, testimonials, and reviews about your product/service you are trying to sell. This is a great place to tell all the readers everything about this product/service, and to inspire them to learn more. You don’t want to give away everything about it, as this is where you want to promote the product. You eventually want them to click through to the site where the product or service is sold.

By using an RSS feed module, you can bring traffic to your primary blog. Just load in your site’s RSS feed and your lens will update automatically.

There’s a lot Squidoo has to offer, including tips on how to choose the best keywords for optimum traffic. Since lenses can have a high ranking on sites like Google, they allow you to build backlinks to your primary site or blog as desired.

Squidoo may be free to use, but you can earn money with it. The site makes its money using affiliate advertising like Ebay, Adsense, and others. They track the earnings that come from each module, and give you half the profits. There’s even an option set up through Squidoo to donate that money to charity.

Squidoo users like to make use of this site to get important information out there, and to let readers know about important thing. They can share information and experiences, as well as using Squidoo as an excellent online advertising marketing strategy.
