The computer world is always changing and evolving. New technology is being developed and new applications are being devised all the time. Some of the movers and shakers in the computer world have recently made a number of announcements that hint at even bigger things on the horizon.

There has been some important news about computers lately, and the major companies that produce processors, operating systems, and browsers have released a lot of information on their products and services. Each of these announcements could have a significant impact on the way we use computers and the way computers affect our lives.

Intel made some important announcements about some new processors. First, they announced the Core i7 and the Core i5. These processors were specifically designed to increase the performance of high end computers, or in other words, computers that are used for gaming, digital media, or productivity suites. According to the statistics from the tests, these new processors should be able to improve performance but still decrease power consumption.

They also announced the new processors for entry level server computers. These processors, the 3400 and 3420 chipsets, will be a huge benefit for businesses that depend on efficient networking and reliable uptime to succeed. These new chips have been shown to increase a company’s transaction and response time.

There have also been a lot of changes in the operating system industry, with even bigger things to come. Mac recently released their Snow Leopard OS to refine the system and make it run faster – many users have been pleased with the upgrade, though other have complained of bugs that have plagued their computers. Google also announced that it is developing an operating system, called Google Chrome OS, and Windows will release Windows 7 later this year.

Windows 7 is probably one of the biggest announcements affecting the computer industry. Windows Vista has received a lot of criticism over the years for a large amount of bugs and security problems. Many are hoping that Windows 7 will be a big improvement, and if it doesn’t, it could have a huge impact on the software giant.

The Internet and the way we interact with it is also continually changing, and recently both Firefox and IE have made big improvements to their browsers. Google has its own browser as well, and it just announced that it has made a deal with Sony to include Google Chrome as the default browser on Sony Vaio computers. This could be a way for the new browser to gain some market share.

Computers will continue to evolve and the industry will be forced to adapt to these changes. There are a number of ways to stay in touch with the news in the computer industry, and if you work with computers on a regular basis, you can’t afford not to.
