Living Life as an Internet Marketer
I live on Australia’s Gold Coast, in a little suburb called Mermaid Beach. Its a lovely, sunny place to live, almost like a large country town. Not too big that you get caught up in the crazy pace of big city life and forget to take in all the blessings that come to you every day. Not too small that you miss out on the cosmopolitan conveniences that come with population centers.
My partner and I are currently awaiting the birth of our baby, a surprise which has helped to bring us closer to one another than ever before. As I sat at home the other afternoon watching my pregnant partner’s round belly, I was suddenly overwhelmed by a profound sense of gratitude: at the fact that I am able to live the life which I myself have crafted. I am no longer a commuting worker, but rather I am able to spend my time at the house with my loved ones, all thanks to having my own internet business.
Instead of having to wake up for the early morning commute, I get to pop out of bed whenever it is that my body decides it has slept enough. This is followed by a short stroll down to the beach (just outside my front door) for a good surf session. Once my body decides that it has had enough of that too, I go catch a coffee from the cafe just right up the road from home and then sit down. For the next few hours, I manage my sites, writing articles similar in nature to the one which you are reading at present. Through this constant process of optimization of my websites I help guarantee that in the future as at present, I will not have to go work at an office but will remain my own employer.
Then around lunch time, the postman will ride by. This always fills me with excitement as he often delivers the checks that make the website business so rewarding. I really am lucky.
And I know why I am lucky too. Its because I learned the skills required to sell products and services on the internet. Goodness knows I can’t sell in the physical world, I don’t have thick enough skin for the constant rejection. But I can sell on the internet.
I can sell on the internet because I learned the internet marketing skills and techniques that turn websites into cash-flow machines. I learned from the masters of the day and continue to upgrade my skills whenever I can. There is no room for complacency in internet marketing!
In light of everything, it is so hard for me to comprehend how so many folks complain about their jobs or careers and yet still they do practically nothing at all to change course, to work on something they’re passionate about. All it takes to do so is good planning, a lot of commitment, and the resoluteness to see things through. Oh, I think I finally know why, it’s just as Thomas Edison phrased it:
“Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.
Damian Papworth loves researching things on the internet. Recently he investigated and published his analysis about baby high chairs. This included a little coverage of high chair covers. Don’t reprint this exact article. Instead, reprint a free unique content version of this same article.
